Matcha is a high-quality Japanese green tea leaf that has been finely milled into powder. Naturally shade-grown and central to Japanese tea ceremonies, it is widely considered the highest available grade of green tea in the world.

Our Matcha tea is shade grown, hand-picked, and harvested with the utmost care in the ancient Japanese city of Kyoto. Unlike common green teas filtered via a tea bag, matcha powder is mixed with hot water and whisked for smooth texture and flavor. As such you are ingesting the whole leaf — not just brewed water.
